Well, this just bugs!!!

Hello all. I am blogging to you from inside a bug infested house. Yes, you heard that right, bug infested. We have bugs in our clothes, in our carpets, in our furniture and of course in our hair. Oh, yes we have bugs!

Now, how did this happen you may ask. Well, I took Sugar to the doctor to get a routine physical for school and she was a bit frightened because she was going to get a shot so she was sitting on my lap. I noticed out of the corner of my eye some movement and looked closer.

"Oh, my heck, doctor!" "Is that what I think it is?!"

"Yes, that is exactally what you think it is."

Words can not describe my feelings of mortification and disgust as she proceded to check my hair to see if I had the little bugs. She then informed me that I had bugs too. Joy and rapture.

Well, after this it is all just a whirlwind of bugs, lotions, combing through hair, washing, drying, bagging items and vaccuming. Joy and rapture.

Anyhoo, to say that this just bugs is so true! We have self imposed a family quarantine and none of us have left the house except for hoosband. Let me just say that Hoosband has been a life saver during this all. He has kept me sane and he has combed numerous times through three heads of hair looking for little critters. He has been so sweet to everyone, worked, and found time to play with Sugar and Berry as well. Can I just say that I love him and know this so much more after this experience.

Sugar has been behaving exceptionally well during this whole thing. She has had to sit for hours at a time while either mom or dad combs through her hair. Last night, she fell asleep while mom was combing through her hair. What a sweetie! Not to mention that we have not been able to go anywhere during this whole thing.

Berry has been pretty good as well and has kept us all entertained. She also has not gotten too upset although she keeps trying to find little things to get in trouble for so that she can have attention since big sis gets alot of it when we are combing her hair. For some reason, the little boogers seem to like Sugar's hair better than any of ours. Poor Sugar!

Well, I will update you when the infestation is over. Still working on being able to put pictures on. Thanks for reading!!!

Okay, here is this tag thing...

I think that I am supposed to write down seven little known things about myself. Here it goes.

1. I used to be addicted to rootbeer. I love rootbeer but have to be in the mood for it now. (I don't drink pop very much either sarah).
2. I was almost hit/runover by a crashing 747 plane. It is true. It was while I was on my mission. See: http://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=19980322-03
3. I am a "cleanhouse freak". Heidi will think that this is hillarious because my house in anything but sparkling clean but am talking about the tv show on style. I love watching a messy house transform. I think that gives me hope. I am currently in the process of organizing my house but it is excedingly difficult to have a sparkling, let alone organized house when you have two toddler hurricanes following you around. Seriously, I clean one room and here come the hurricanes, whish! The rooms are now twice as messy as they were before.
4. I don't like crispy creme donuts. Sorry, I think that they are too rich. That is great if you like them though.
5. The first cat or dog I ever remember having was Elroy. Elroy was a black and white cat that was part manx. I loved him so much, too much. I would squeeze him until he would growl and scratch me. It is funny, but I think I passed it on somehow to berry. She loves and squeezes our dog, zoey until she growls. THis reminds me of Almira from Tiny Toons (a great cartoon from the 90's, check it out).
6. I have had an avocodo shake and made one for my family as well. I loved the shake but my family thought it was, well interesting.
7. Finally... I have a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. I know that most people know that but I have to remind myself as I am not currently practicing. But, you know, that is not entirely true. People ask me questions relating to communication quite frequently and I have made a social story for my kids and am working on one for my sister's family as well. I do miss being a practicing SLP though. But being able to be here for my girls this year has been great and they are really making great strides.
8. Okay, I know it was supposed to be seven but the last one is something that most people know about me. I used to do a two to two dance. When the clock showed 1:58, I would call that two to two and get really excited. Now, this was in my single years and mostly in high school. Now, if I was up at two to two it would not be a happy dance, I would be quite upset. I love my sleep.

There you go, seven or eight things about me that few people know and a partridge and a pair tree!

to explode or not to explode that is the question...

Right now, I sit in front of the computer as my non-slumbering girls play about 5 feet away from me. I was attempting to put the girls down for thier daily nap and sugar absolutely would not go down. Berry, of course followed shortly after and they both started giggling and running around. I remained calm, which i am quite proud of, and thy just became a rushing wind of giggling and disobedience. Oh well. I just want to avoid any kind of confrontation today. It is a gray day and all i really want to do is put on some lounge pants and watch t.v. and as strange as it may seem, I want to clean. But, since the girls are showing no sign of calming down, I am getting in some much needed catch up time on my blog and email. As i was sitting here, my anger and annoyance faded away as I read my friend's blog (thanks sarah). I then noticed that the girls were fighting about something and the something turned out to be a soiled diaper that I guess had been accidentally left on the ground. Ewww! Kids are funny I guess.

What else to blog about? I have bangs again! I have not had bangs since 1998 when I returned home from my mission. My husband is anti-bangs and has always told me to please not get bangs. Well, I came home late from getting my hair cut and he told me that he liked my hair. I just thought that he was being nice but the next day he told me that he really liked my hair. I think that is funny because he is so anti-bangs. My bangs are not classic bangs though, they are actualy quite long and sweep to the side. I will have to take a picture and include it in my blog. I am going to learn how to put pictures on my blog and make all my high tech friends and husband proud.
